2nd Group Project
Brian Rodriguez
We just finished our second group project and it was probably the best one yet.
I was apart of the first group, our topic was based off of economy and racial divide. These
topic were very interesting to do because there was so many sub topics so there was a lot for
us to cover. The group really went into details, I was able to see that everybody on the group
got to do a good amount of research because they provided a lot of information that fit in
with what they were talking about. One thing I enjoyed with this presentation is that it wasn't
just words on the screen, a lot of videos were showed throwout the whole presentation.
I was assigned to do racial divide in the Ukrainian war. I gave a lot of support on how black
africans were being kept inside of the country of Ukraine and not being able to cross the
border because the people in Ukraine wanted to keep the africans so they can keep be mean
and torture the africans for satisfaction. The video that I put in the presentation was a really
good video, the video had the representative of UN from the county of Nigeria sharing
information on how he was demanding the Ukrainian people to open up the border so the
refugees are able to escape into neighboring countries. There was also a picture of the agency
of UN and how they were taking the situation serious and taking it to social media so everybody
can know what was going around in the world.
The 2nd group that presented got the topic of immigration and also the justice
of law and order. The side topic that were covered included crime rates, the trauma the kids are left
with when the parents separate from their kids, the control that they have over the border, why
the immigrants decide to migrate from other countries into the US and how the US has certain
rules when it comes immigrants sep foot on United States foil. I liked howe we got to see how
immigrants get to go through before, during, after they cross the border. Border control 'have made
so many different technology to keep many of them out. They also included the the information on why
they migrate, reasons being for better job opportunities and educational purposes for the future of their
child. During the process many can face different problems such as hunger, lack of basic needs
foe example, things that are needed for hygiene and most important the shelter for protection that
they need to survive the nights full of rough weather time. Afterwards, the problem does not stop,
when they gt to the US they deal with problems like society issue, unemployment so its
hard for them to get a job, language barriers, not many people speak the language that they do
and poverty. That's only naming a few.
The last final group got to present on the topic of healthcare and education.
They presented on how having free healthcare can be something good but at the same time it
can be something bad. Study shows because of people not having healthcare around 45 thousand
of people had passed away. Another issue that has been happening is that people are now in debt
trying to ask for a loan just to pay off their healthcare. A reason on why the government doesn't
wanna give us free healthcare is because it might sum up to forty thousand annually. Another
thing is that it can increase the taxes income by twenty percent so that's already a lot of money
the people are losing. Education has planned to increase their minimum wages in order to make
a decent living. They also talked about the regulations of gun. Because of guns not having so many
restrictions, any teen at the age of 18 or older are eligible to go to any store and buy a weapon.
This has lead to so many unfortunate events that has happened around the world.
Great job!
