LET ME TELL YOU HOW IT WAS (2)

CARLOS CARABALLO It can be noted that this was our second exhibition. The first one was very good, but in this one a better understanding between the group participants could be observed, a greater fluidity with the order in which we presented ourselves and a better organization than the last time. At the time, each one was seen separately focused and eager to develop their presentation with a study and in-depth management of the specific topic that touched them, demonstrating an interest and commitment to the class and what we are learning. The first group to appear was the so-called #3. They developed the theme of health and education in the United States today. The dynamic of placing a large part of the material in video format was interesting; With these videos, the learning environment was more entertaining. As for the information, it was surprising to discover that the US Department of Health has so much authority over all prescription drugs and such a large budget that is dedica

Blog 2 - Project presentation -

As I mentioned in my first blog, I am not a guy that likes reading books and books. Researching info and numbers to create the presentation helped me understand and learn new things. Thanks to the professor, she changed the group presentation order, so as group one, we were the last group to present our project and had more time for our research. We went deeper into this presentation with numbers, videos, examples, and graphs. This presentation always kept my attention high. It has been divided into three groups with three main topics. The presentation focuses on the United States' healthcare, education, racial divide, and the economy in general that affects their daily activities. I can say that the systems in the United States are distinct in the various services it offers its citizens.   Group three was the first group to present. Their main topic was healthcare and education. In my opinion, it was the most

Another brief comment about our project

As in the first text for this blog, I will use this space again to make another very brief comment about our second presentation week and my experience.      Starting backward, the first group to make the presentation was group 3, commenting on Health Care and Education. The group addressed several aspects, starting with Free Health Care. They explain what universal health means, showing on a map which countries have it and which do not, what are the pros and cons of having universal health care and how and who would be able to change the current state of health care. Health care in the US is a topic that I found very interesting, especially coming from a country with a universal health care system with its strengths and weaknesses. They talked about psychotherapy, drug prescriptions, and how the current Joe Biden administration deals with them. They also addressed the issue of abortion and its impacts on society. Another controversial topic, as well as abortion, was gun control

Group Project Experiences

This is the second time we completed a group project in this class, and as I have mentioned on my previous blog, group projects have always proved to be stressful situations in different ways but once again I personally believe that with this group everything went smoothly and without further complications. My group was assigned with the task of completing a presentation about Economy and Racial Divide. Even though we were the last group to present, we decided to complete all of our work a week before our presentation was due in order to have time to discuss and talk about changes that we agreed upon, and even though many didn't actually followed that deadline, the project was finished relatively fast with regards to the actual deadline and there were not many changes that needed to be done.  From my own personal opinion this project was a lot harder than the previous one but I think our presentation was great, maybe not the best one since I honestly believe that there were some as

2nd Group Project

Brian Rodriguez                              We just finished our second group project and it was probably the best one yet. I was apart of the first group, our topic was based off of economy and racial divide. These  topic were very interesting to do because there was so many sub topics so there was a lot for  us to cover. The group really went into details, I was able to see that everybody on the  group  got to do a good amount of research because they provided a lot of information that fit in  with what they were talking about. One thing I enjoyed with this presentation is that it  wasn't  just words on the screen, a lot of videos were showed throwout the whole presentation. I was assigned to do racial divide in the Ukrainian war. I gave a lot of support on how black  africans were being kept inside of the country of Ukraine and not being able to cross the border because the people in Ukraine wanted to keep the africans so they can keep be mean  and torture the africans for sat

Group Project 2

Arialis Perez Group 1, which is the group I am part of, presented on the topic of the Economy and Racial Divide. Unlike our first group presentation, I consider this one to have been harder to create, at least personally, because each one of the group participants had to narrow all of the possible topics into one of their choices and when it comes to both economy and racial divide, there’s a lot of material to cover. I believe everyone did an amazing job in their assigned topics, especially because it was noticeable that there was thorough research behind every fact shared. In addition, some instructive videos were also included with the intention of providing context and exemplification. I was assigned to the Economy topic in which I focused on the Local Economy in Miami Dade county. Since the economy is related to so many factors and can be influenced by so many others, I decided to talk about the ones I consider the most important ones or at least the ones everyone should know of.
